About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in clinical operating department work, assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating programmes of care, and working closely with a multi-disciplinary team.

This role requires a high level of competence, effective communication, and a strong commitment to ongoing professional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safe, effective, and efficient management of allocated resources within anaesthetics, including assisting with daily allocation planning.
  • Care for and maintain anaesthetic equipment and consumable goods within designated areas.
  • Run theatre lists efficiently and competently following policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • ODP or Registered Nurse with a recognised postgraduate anaesthetic qualification.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • Effective communication skills, verbal and written, including report writing and record keeping.
  • Sound knowledge of NMC / HCPC code of professional conduct and current perioperative issues.
  • Experience working as an Anaesthetic Practitioner within an acute perioperative environment.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £68,000 per annum, plus additional benefits, including online interviews, full-time or part-time hours, engagement from the Perioperative Education Team, clinical support, ongoing education and training, and wellbeing support.
