Job Description

">Main Responsibilities">

As the Energy and Sustainability Manager, you will be responsible for leading energy process reductions, implementing sustainability initiatives, and managing energy optimization projects. You will work closely with the Plant Development Manager to achieve the plant's energy and sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  1. Lead and implement energy-saving projects to reduce energy consumption and costs.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to enhance sustainability at the site, including reducing greenhouse gas emissions and achieving carbon neutrality.
  3. Monitor and record operational energy consumption and costs, preparing data for budget compilation and cost planning.
  4. Perform regular checks of the plausibility of consumption data via the monitoring system and identify optimization potential.
  5. Benchmark new/existing energy efficiency measures at other Knauf plants or suppliers, assessing innovative technologies/processes that sustainably reduce energy demand.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in either Chemistry, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A broad understanding of ISO 50001 standards and sustainability best practices.
  • Proven experience of working within an Operational/Manufacturing environment, with a strong background in energy management and sustainability.
