The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team and take ownership of the commercial management of key contracts. This is a hands-on role where you will be part of a team that will help deliver the growth strategy for the business.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with Project Managers to ensure projects meet commercial and financial targets.
- Contribute to regular and accurate reporting to key stakeholders.
- Assist in and carry out valuations for payment applications.
- Monitor payments for subcontractor and supplier accounts.
- Identify and agree changes to contracts.
- Work with the Commercial Contract Manager to maximise contractual entitlements.
- Attend project review and CVR meetings.
- Assist in the handover of projects to the Design and Construction teams.
- Lead and participate in the creation and adjustment of processes and documentation.
- Proven track record of building strong relationships with internal and external clients and suppliers.
- Experience in managing project budgets and providing commercial forecasts.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Proven track record of effectively managing contracts and tenders.
- Ability to work with multiple teams and understand the project life cycle.
- Technical understanding of project delivery and pricing.
