HGV Class 1 Driver Job Description

We are seeking a skilled HGV Class 1 driver to join our team at Amazon - Driver Express UK. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a fleet of Iveco CNG trucks on night shifts, adhering to all driving and working time regulations.
  • Perform thorough vehicle checks to ensure the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
  • Work a 4/4 rota with extra days possible, subject to your availability and the company's needs.
  • Start times may vary, requiring flexibility and adaptability.
  • Use a special app to schedule work and stay organized.
Requirements:
  • Essential: at least 1 year of experience holding a CE licence.
  • Essential: consistent Class 1 work since passing, with a minimum of 6 months of recent experience.
  • Essential: experience of commercial night driving.
  • Professionalism, a sense of ownership, and responsibility are essential for this role.
  • An adaptable and resilient mentality is required to thrive in this position.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive pay rates: £150 per shift for Mon-Fri and £165 per shift for Sat-Sun and Bank Holidays.
  • A full fleet of Iveco CNG trucks, including 71 and 72 plate models.
  • Guaranteed pay for cancelled shifts.
  • Monthly pay (PAY) and holiday pay.
  • A 3-month probation period.
