About the Role:
We are seeking a Behaviour Mentor to join our client school in Haringey. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a key role in helping students manage their emotions and behaviour to succeed both academically and personally.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with behavioural needs.
- Help manage challenging behaviour, implementing effective strategies to promote positive behaviour.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to create a positive, nurturing environment.
- Support classroom management and encourage positive behaviour throughout the school day.
Requirements:
- Prior experience working in an SEN setting is preferable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage challenging behaviours effectively.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience in supporting students with complex needs.
- A sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
