We are seeking a highly skilled Administration Support Manager to join our team within the General Surgery & Gastrointestinal (GSGI) Directorate. This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of high-quality services within the Health Board.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day activities of the RTT Validation Coordinators, ensuring accurate and robust information for performance reporting, and maintaining high data quality. They will also be involved in validating patient pathways, supporting the delivery of the Single Cancer Pathway, and collaborating with the multi-disciplinary team to plan and action patient care.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Supervise and support the RTT Validation Coordinators in ensuring accurate validation and data entry.
  2. Contribute to the development and implementation of effective validation processes, ensuring compliance with best practices and regulatory requirements.
  3. Provide specialist knowledge and training to team members, Outpatient Booking teams, and Inpatient teams to enhance their skills and effectiveness.
  4. Manage and coordinate the work of the Validation Team, ensuring timely delivery of tasks and projects.
  5. Collaborate with the Directorate Management team to resolve capacity and data quality issues, ensuring seamless service delivery.
  6. Support the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  1. Experience of managing administrative staff, including leave requests and ensuring a safe and continuous service.
  2. Knowledge of NHS Wales Performance Framework targets and administrative procedures.
  3. Ability to travel to attend meetings and carry out the role in other UHB locations.
  4. Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check required.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Previous experience of management or supervision of staff.
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures and organizational policies.
