AVP - IT Risk Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled AVP - IT Risk to join our Technology Risk Management team at Barclay Simpson. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating Technology risks associated with IT projects and emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Risk Management: Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to ensure the organization's Technology risks are properly identified, assessed, and mitigated.
  • Policy Compliance: Collaborate with IT project teams to ensure adherence to Technology policies, standards, and procedures, promoting best risk management practices.
  • Project Oversight: Provide risk oversight for IT projects, ensuring risk considerations are integrated into project planning and execution.
  • Technology Risk Training: Embed a culture of risk awareness and ensure all relevant parties understand their roles in managing risk.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams and leadership to support the organization's risk management goals and strategic objectives.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong Organizational Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders and team members.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Technology Risk Frameworks: Strong understanding of Technology risk frameworks, such as COBIT and ITIL.
