Pertemps Bond seeks a seasoned professional to lead their National Transport and Logistics team as a Customs & Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will oversee a team of 15, managing customs export and imports, customer service, and document checking activities. Key tasks include:

  • Leading the Customs team in providing seamless cross-border order movement.
  • Managing Export & Import activity, query resolution, proof of exports, and tax queries.
  • Liaising with Planning, Hauliers, and Warehouse teams to ensure efficient cross-border movements.

The successful candidate will be accountable for:

  • Achieving EBIT targets for Customs and operations.
  • Delivering process improvements within the Customs area.
  • Ensuring contractual KPIs are met through effective brokerage partner and haulier management.
Requirements

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Experience in Supply Chain division, preferably with a retail customer.
  • Customs Operations experience, ideally between the UK and EU.
  • Customer relationship management skills and people management experience.

You will thrive in this position if you have a strong track record of delivering results-driven initiatives, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering positive relationships with stakeholders.

Pertemps Bond offers a competitive salary package, including a salary of £42,000 per annum, plus additional benefits.
