About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assessment Specialist to join our team in the UK. As a Functional Assessor, you will play a vital role in assessing the functional abilities of individuals who have experienced health conditions or disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the full range of health conditions and disabilities affecting claimants, including physical, sensory, mental, intellectual, and cognitive impairments
  • Conduct face-to-face, virtual, and telephone assessments to gather comprehensive information about claimants' functional abilities
  • Prepare thorough and concise reports summarizing assessment findings and recommendations for equitable decisions
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, stakeholders, and clients to ensure seamless assessment processes and effective communication
  • Maintain accurate records, adhering to regulatory standards and organizational requirements

What We Offer:

  • A competitive base salary ranging from £38,500 to £41,500 per annum (OTE: £45,650)
  • A 5% retention bonus, with an opportunity to increase it to 10% based on performance
  • A hybrid work arrangement, balancing remote work with occasional office visits
  • 12 weeks of comprehensive training and onboarding
  • 25 days of paid holiday, rising to 27 days with service
  • A company laptop and phone, along with access to necessary software and tools

Requirements:

  • Qualified nurse, mental health nurse, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, or paramedic with valid registration on NMC/HCPC without restrictions
  • At least one year of post-qualification experience in a relevant field
  • Excellent communication skills, strong IT literacy, and attention to detail
