We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Academic Mentor in Religious Education to join our team at Wayman Learning Trust.

This rewarding role involves delivering engaging and thought-provoking Religious Studies lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a respectful and open-minded learning environment that encourages critical thinking, ethical reasoning, and respectful dialogue about complex issues related to religion, philosophy, and belief.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Religious Studies lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Foster a respectful and open-minded learning environment.
  • Encourage critical thinking, ethical reasoning, and respectful dialogue.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a rich and diverse Religious Studies curriculum.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.

The ideal candidate is a qualified teacher with a strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Religious Education, a proven track record of success in Religious Studies or related subjects, and excellent classroom management skills. Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Religious Education.

  • Passion for Religious Studies and commitment to promoting understanding and tolerance.
