This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Neuro Physiotherapist to be part of the CHD Rehabilitation team. The post holder will be an autonomous practitioner providing a specialist physiotherapy service to inpatient neurorehab patients. They will be expected to manage and supervise rehabilitation assistants as part of this role.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide specialist physiotherapy to contribute to the high-quality assessment, evidenced based treatment and discharge planning of patients with neurological injury. This includes both inpatient neurorehabilitation and long-term disability management.
The post holder will provide pre-admission assessment to those with complex presentations and work in conjunction with the Clinical Head of Rehab Service and care home manager to determine suitability for rehabilitation or placement within our service.
They will contribute to the therapy teams functions such as rota planning, service development and in-service training.

Job responsibilities
- To provide neuro specialist Physiotherapy assessment and intervention to patients with neurological conditions at CHD Rehabilitation
- This role is supervised by the Clinical Head of Rehabilitation
- To use clinical reasoning, critical thinking, reflection and analysis to support assessments using a client-centred approach and current evidence base to assess, treat, implement, evaluate and document Physiotherapy interventions.
- To be responsible for the assessment, treatment, implementation and documentation of Physiotherapy interventions for patients with neurological conditions.
- To supervise and develop Junior therapy staff and assistants.
- To be responsible for the education of Physiotherapy Students on placement Practice
Person Specification
Qualifications
- Physiotherapy Qualification - Current HCPC Registration - Member of CSP
Experience
- A range of post graduate Physio experience in a variety of relevant core specialties - Experience of working as a Physiotherapist within Neurorehabilitation and with patients with complex conditions - Excellent assessment, management & treatment skills - Excellent clinical reasoning skills - Excellent time management and organisational skills - Ability to present complex information in a comprehensible way - Experience of working within an MDT - 2 years post graduate experience
- Experience of supervision of Physiotherapists, Rehab Assistants or Physiotherapy Students - Completion of Clinical Educators course - Proven teaching ability and education experience to provide training to carers and nursing staff - Evidence of service development - Relevant post-graduate course attendance
