Job Summary

The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled and experienced phlebotomist to join our team. As a phlebotomist with advanced skills, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients in various clinical settings.

Main Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Collecting blood samples from inpatients and patients attending outpatient clinics
  • Liaising with clinicians, laboratory staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth sample collection and processing
  • Performing venepuncture techniques in various clinical settings, working independently with minimal supervision
  • Providing reception and telephone support as needed

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

Previous laboratory work experience and previous work experience in a healthcare environment are desirable.
