Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join our Infection Prevention Technology (IPT) Team. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for ensuring the security of medical equipment connected to local hospital networks and remote applications in the cloud.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product development teams to develop and implement product cybersecurity plans
  • Support product development teams in creating product cybersecurity threat models and vulnerability assessments
  • Lead product development teams in creating cybersecurity risk management files and documentation
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity practices, standards, and verification techniques
  • Perform regular vulnerability scans and security testing against STIGs for products sold into DOD medical centers
  • Patch fielded product software and perform or oversee verification of patched software
  • Assist product development teams in penetration and fuzz testing of new products containing software
  • Participate in design and code reviews to ensure proper implementation of security control measures and defensive coding practices
  • Maintain MDS2 forms and white papers that describe product security characteristics and processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Cybersecurity
  • 1+ years of related software engineering experience in development and/or verification
  • Certification or training in software security is highly desirable
  • Significant coursework or direct experience in the cybersecurity field is desirable
  • Experience with software development in C, C++, or C# is highly desirable
  • Experience with network communication interfaces is desirable
  • Experience performing risk assessments is desirable
