ZipRecruiter is seeking a skilled Biological Scientist to support our biopharmaceutical process development team in Worcester, MA. This role involves all aspects of protein purification and chemistry.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide full-time onsite lab support to the research team.
  2. Support laboratory scale process development and characterization studies using chromatography techniques.
  3. Operate AKTA systems and other separation techniques to purify proteins.
  4. Analyze data from various analytical equipment such as HPLCs.
  5. Prepare buffers and solutions for laboratory use.
  6. Document work in electronic lab notebooks following ALCOA+ standards.
  7. Review and verify report data.
  8. Perform aliquoting, labeling, and shipping tasks.
  9. Manage freezer inventory and implement 5S lab best practices.
  10. Collaborate effectively with colleagues and communicate results.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or Biology.
  • 0-2 years of experience in laboratory settings.

Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year, based on qualifications and location.
