About the Role:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced KS2 Teacher to join our team at Wayman Learning Trust. As a KS2 Teacher, you will be responsible for the pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Key Stage 2, promoting teamwork and cultivating a conducive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching the Key Stage 2 curriculum to groups of children while also focusing on each individual child's learning targets, encouraging their strengths and improving their weaknesses.
  • Further developing maths ability and introducing fractions, statistics, and geometry.
  • Helping children develop their writing ability by creating plots, characters, and settings for stories.
  • Keeping track of children's progress and occasionally reporting back to parents.

About the School:

Our school is a 2-form entry school located in a lovely residential area. We have a friendly environment that welcomes early career teachers (ECTs) with open arms. As well as academic excellence, we aspire to develop well-rounded, confident pupils through our supportive pastoral environment.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status and relevant educational degree.
  • Proven experience teaching Key Stage 2 students, preferably in a similar setting.
  • Excellent knowledge of the national curriculum and current educational trends.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Outstanding classroom management skills and ability to create a positive learning environment.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
