Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Deliver a high standard of patient care in a fast-paced, challenging environment, ensuring the well-being and safety of patients.
- Clinical Duties: Undertake wound care, medication management, and other essential nursing duties, maintaining accurate records and adhering to clinical guidelines.
- Patient Triaging: Assess patients upon arrival, triage based on the severity of their condition, and prioritize care accordingly, ensuring timely interventions and effective resource allocation.
- Initial Treatments: Administer initial treatments and interventions to stabilize patients, including life-saving measures when necessary, in accordance with established protocols.
- Monitoring: Continuously monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patients' conditions, providing critical information for medical decision-making.
- Diagnostic Support: Assist the medical team in performing diagnostic tests and interpreting results, contributing to accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications and intravenous therapy as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate dosing and minimizing adverse reactions.
- Intravenous Access: Initiate and maintain intravenous access for patients requiring fluids and medications, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Procedures: Assist with minor procedures, wound care, and patient immobilization, maintaining a safe and controlled environment.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with doctors and other multidisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive care, promoting effective communication and seamless patient transitions.
Requirements:
- NMC Registration: 6 months of experience in A&E in the last 12 months, with two references for verification covering the last 3 years of work.
- Compliance Requirements: Meet our framework compliance requirements, including DBS, Occupational Health, and an updated CV.
- Right to Work: Hold the right to work within the UK, with documented proof required.
