Relationship Development Director

At Barclays, we are seeking a skilled Relationship Development Director to join our Mid Corporate team in Glasgow. As a key member of our Corporate Banking team, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining strong relationships with our clients, understanding their business objectives, and delivering tailored financial solutions to support their growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our clients' industries, trends, and challenges to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Design and implement customized financial solutions that address clients' specific needs and objectives, incorporating a range of products and services from our portfolio.
- Communicate the value proposition of proposed solutions, negotiate terms, and provide guidance to clients to support their financial decisions and risk management strategies.
- Assess and mitigate financial, legal, and operational risks associated with client relationships, and implement measures to minimize potential losses.
- Monitor client satisfaction, revenue generated, and other relevant metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of relationship management efforts.
- Excellent market knowledge and understanding of the corporate banking suite of products.
- Strong business development skills, including negotiation and communication skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of risk policies and procedures, including credit conformance and regulatory risks.
- Ability to assess and mitigate risks, and demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls.
