Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Nurse to join our dynamic Community Palliative Care Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert clinical assessment and judgement, as well as supporting other members of the team with development.

The Community Palliative Care Team provides specialist palliative care services to Oxfordshire and South Northamptonshire, including home visiting, outpatient clinics, and telephone advice. We are looking for a candidate who displays excellent communication skills and strong leadership qualities.

Main Duties of the Job

As a Specialist Nurse within the team, the post holder will be expected to demonstrate patient-focused expert clinical assessment and judgement. A full driving license and car ownership are essential, as is the ability to work anywhere within Oxfordshire and South Northamptonshire.

The Community Palliative Care Team supports end-of-life care, symptom management, and communication skills training and teaching to all levels of staff. A strong aspiration for learning and teaching is therefore essential.
