About the Position

The Energy Transition Lead role at ERSG Ltd offers a unique opportunity to drive change and contribute to our company's mission to reduce carbon emissions. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for developing and executing the company's energy transition strategy, working closely with various business functions to achieve our net zero goals.

You will be joining a dedicated team of professionals who share a passion for sustainability and innovation. Our team is committed to delivering high-quality results and exceeding expectations.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and implement the company's energy transition strategy, focusing on decarbonising heat, upgrading electricity distribution networks, and generating renewable electricity.
  • Lead and sponsor key energy-related capital investment projects, ensuring alignment with the company's net zero goals.
  • Collaborate with key business functions to plan, shape, drive, and support the overall plan of activity necessary to deliver the energy strategy.
  • Identify key investments and help develop business cases to deliver the energy strategy.
  • Support the commercial scale-up of renewable electricity generation projects, including technical considerations and business case development.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 8 years' experience in energy strategy, planning, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working in a matrixed environment.
  • Ability to think strategically and make informed decisions that align with the company's goals.
  • Relevant qualifications and certifications, such as MBA or CEng.

Salary Range: £85,000 - £110,000 per annum
