Toolroom Technician

The MDE Consultants Ltd is looking for a skilled Toolmaker to join their team in Caerphilly. As a key member of the toolroom, you will be responsible for producing high-quality injection mould tools and working closely with the technical team.

Salary: £33,000 - £36,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Job Description:

• Safely operate all toolroom machinery, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the toolroom, following 5S housekeeping principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tool Manufacturing: Produce new injection mould tools based on technical drawings and 3D CAD data, ensuring exceptional workmanship and cost-efficiency.
• Repair and modify production tools as needed, and perform regular servicing and maintenance per established schedules.
• Suggest and implement improvements to tooling, processes, productivity, and efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Qualified plastic injection mould toolmaker.
• Apprentice-trained in toolmaking.
• Experienced in CNC operations.
• Proficient in CAD/CAM systems.
