We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at Health Your Way. As a Personal Care/Home Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual with Autism and other medical conditions.

About the Role

This is a 24-hour support role, requiring a minimum of 24 hours per week. You will work in one 24-hour shift, including night sleep-in, on a 4-week rota. On rare occasions, there may be opportunities to work additional hours due to holidays and sickness.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support with aspects of personal and medical care, promoting independence and well-being.
  • Assist with medication handling and administration, if applicable.
  • Ensure the individual's safety and comfort at all times.
  • Participate in training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Communicate effectively with the individual, their family, and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements

  • Experience in supporting individuals with Autism and other medical conditions.
  • A full driving license and own vehicle with relevant insurance.
  • Flexibility in working hours, including night shifts and weekends.
  • Reliability, professionalism, and a caring attitude.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Enhanced DBS check (cost met by the employer).
  • Non-smoker.
