About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Store Assistant to join our team at Tesco Superstore. As a Store Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and contributing to the overall success of our store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist customers with their shopping queries, offering product recommendations and advice where necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales targets and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card payments, and mobile payments.
  • Participate in visual merchandising and product replenishment activities to ensure the store is visually appealing and well-stocked.

Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy in handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
