Role Overview

In this part-time Clinical Administrator role with NHS Professionals, you will provide essential administrative support to the clinical coding function at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust in Canterbury. The post holder assists in resolving data quality recording errors on the Patient Administration System (PAS) and identifies outstanding uncoded spells through the Qlikview System.

The ideal candidate will have good typing skills and be able to maintain a constant flow of discharged patient casenotes from wards and other areas around the hospital site. You will work closely with the clinical coding team to ensure all casenotes/clinical information is located and retrieved in a timely manner to meet departmental and national deadlines.

Salary Information

We offer a competitive hourly rate of £13 per hour for this part-time role, which allows for flexible Bank shifts across various client trusts in England. This position may require evidence of a vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clerical and administrative support to the clinical coding function
  • Assist in resolving data quality recording errors on the PAS
  • Identify outstanding uncoded spells through the Qlikview System
  • Maintain a detailed knowledge of PAS and its policies
  • Liaise with ward-based staff to aid timely retrieval of casenotes
