About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Manager to join our investments team at AJ Bell Management Limited. As a Portfolio Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head of Investment Solutions and the investment team in the design, manufacture, monitoring, and maintenance of our managed portfolios.

Key Responsibilities
  • Portfolio Maintenance: Support the Head of Investment Solutions in the maintenance of AJ Bell core discretionary managed portfolios across various areas, including product governance, strategic asset allocation, and tactical asset allocation decisions.
  • Investment Research: Work with the investment research team to devise appropriate portfolio implementation strategies and contribute to the development and production of investment management information.
  • Portfolio Implementation: Implement portfolio strategies through adherence to trading rules and consideration of other factors.
  • Business Growth: Engage with other areas of the business to support the growth of both AJ Bell Investments and the wider business.
  • Investor Communication: Contribute to portfolio updates to ensure timely communication with investors.
Requirements
  • CFA Certification: CFA preferred or at least partial completion with a plan to complete.
  • Policy Statement Analysis: Ability to parse policy statements to ensure adherence within portfolios.
  • Compliance and Risk: Willingness to engage on compliance and risk matters.
  • Investment Reporting: Able to write investment reports tailored to disparate readers.
  • Technical Skills: Use of VBA or other programming skills preferred.
  • Communication: Comfortable presenting on both video and in person.
