Division: Building South
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as an Apprentice Site Engineer. As a key member of our site management team, you will be responsible for supporting our existing Site Management/Engineering team, while studying on a day/block release basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a career in the construction industry, develop a highly paid and in-demand career, and obtain a debt-free degree (BSc/BA) at a regional university. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, gain hands-on experience, and develop your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting out, levelling, and surveying a construction site
- Working with site plans, drawings, and building information models
- Mapping structural boundaries on the ground using pegs and markers
- Liaising with designers and engineers to ensure plans and drawings are accurate
- Overseeing quality control
- Monitoring health and safety
- Keeping a site diary
- Resolving technical problems
- Working in an office and on a construction site
- Ensuring all Company Procedures are being complied with
- Ensuring all Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality Management Procedures are followed
- Achieving high standards of quality and workmanship on site
- Positively promoting the company wherever and whenever
Essential Requirements:
- Resident of the city of Milton Keynes
- Demonstrate a strong desire for the role
- Demonstrate an ability to work on own initiative
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and flexibility in working locations
- 3x A Levels at C grade or above or BTEC Level 3 (triple grade)
Desirable Requirements:
- Knowledge of the Construction Industry
- A strong interest in developing a STEM career within the Construction Industry
