Job Title: Commercial Director

Job Summary:

TP Group is seeking an experienced Commercial Director to join our team for a six-month fixed-term contract. As a key member of our Commercial Team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our business operations and ensuring the successful delivery of our contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as Commercial lead for all assigned frameworks, contracts, tasks, and stages of the contracting process.
  • Undertake end-to-end review of all aspects of proposals to advise on risks and cost drivers and to propose acceptable commercial positions.
  • Work with the Science Group central legal team to draft, review, and negotiate legal terms and conditions in accordance with TP Group processes and guidelines.
  • Support the project management and technical delivery teams in identifying and effectively managing commercial risks to contract performance.
  • Support the ongoing improvement of key commercial processes across TP Group.

Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge, drafting skills, and a clear and well-developed understanding of key legal and commercial concepts.
  • Ability to articulate the requirements of a contract clearly to the delivery teams.
  • Willingness to travel to multiple company sites across the UK with occasional overseas travel.
  • Understanding and support for a pragmatic approach to commercial management.
  • Excellent standard of accuracy in drafting and reviewing legal documentation - close attention to detail.
  • Clear understanding of key legal concepts.
  • Proven experience of risk management and dispute resolution.
