About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Development Manager to lead our software development team and play a key role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of software solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of software developers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure the team's success.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand organizational goals and translate them into a strategic software development roadmap.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of excellence and efficiency in software development and deployment, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Technical Architecture: Provide design and architectural options to key stakeholders, driving forward decisions and a longer-term sustainable software architecture.
  • Process Improvement: Work closely with other areas to identify software needs, streamline processes, and enhance overall organizational efficiency.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the coding, testing, and documentation for software products are maintained and reliable.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: Experience in.Net, C#, Java, and JavaScript.
  • Leadership Experience: Demonstrated experience in leading test automation in CI/CD environments, DevOps, and Microsoft Azure.
  • Management Skills: Track record of excellent staff management and leadership, with proven resource management experience.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across directorates.
  • Clearance: The ability to pass BPSS clearance checks.
