The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our established team on one of our static sites. The successful candidate will be a well-rounded engineer with a strong mechanical bias, as well as confidence in building controls and fabric work.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • As a mechanically biased skilled engineer, you will have a sound knowledge of booster pumps, Building Services (water, gas, heating and ventilation, waste), BMS monitoring systems, PPM's, etc.
  • You will have a flexible attitude with a "can do" approach and be prepared to work outside your skill base to provide a customer-based service.
  • You will be prepared to undertake training as required by the post and the Technical Services Manager.
  • You will have administration skills to maintain computer-based and hard copy systems for statutory inspections and tests.
  • You will be able to react and work on your own initiative on an on-call system.
  • You will be prepared to work on multiple sites as required.

Experience and Qualifications

  • You will have a C&G in plumbing/mechanical engineering.
  • You will have strong fault-finding skills.
  • You will have experience of being client-facing.
  • You will have the ability to work under your own initiative.
  • You will be a team player.
  • You will have good electrical/controls knowledge.
  • You will be IT literate.
  • You will have a driving licence.
  • SC Clearance would be desirable.
