Heavy Equipment Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Technician to join CV-Library in the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for traveling to customers' sites, carrying out repairs and maintenance of various Forklift Trucks / FLT's / MHE / Material Handling Equipment hired out by our company.

The ideal candidate will have at least a Level 4 Technician qualification or apprenticeship in the Forklift, HGV, or Automotive industry. Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer / Forklift Truck Technician / FLT Engineer / similar role where Fork Lift Trucks and other Material Handling Equipment is repaired and serviced is also desirable.

This role requires providing a professional, efficient & responsive service support to customers by maintaining and repairing materials handling equipment to the highest standard.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (40 hours a week).

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum including overtime, company van, and bonus (average total salary). You will be paid an hourly rate from leaving home to returning home (Door to door) with opportunities for overtime and call outs.

Overtime and Incentives: Overtime available depending on workload, paid at time and half of the normal hourly rate. Saturday AM work also available at time and a half (not compulsory). Take half an hour lunch instead of a full hour, counting as 30 minutes overtime at time and a half when done.

Transport and Location: Based from home with travel to local depot to collect supplies and provided with a fully stocked service van. Personal use of van option available following government guidelines.

  • Undertake repair & maintenance of customer owned & fleet trucks on customers' sites.
  • Provide value for money service and recommendations.
  • Accurately complete all paperwork required within the role.
  • Maintain service van cleanliness and stock levels.
  • Ensure Company issued tools and safety/protective equipment are kept in good condition.
  • Maintain quality of workmanship and minimize risk of injury.

Requirements:

  • Experience in repairing and maintaining Forklift Trucks / FLT's / Plant Vehicles / Material Handling Vehicles / HGV's / Similar vehicles.
  • Level 4 Technician qualification or apprenticeship in Forklift, HGV, or Automotive industry preferred.

If needed, training will be given on-site. The estimated annual salary for this role is approximately £45,000.
