Cera Care is seeking an experienced Companion Care Worker to join our team in Braintree. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in promoting the health, wellbeing, and independence of our clients.

As a Companion Care Worker, you will provide personalized care and support to our clients, including assistance with daily living activities, cooking, and cleaning. You will also engage in meaningful conversations, provide companionship, and help alleviate loneliness and isolation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
  • Prepare and cook hot meals, as well as assist with household chores.
  • Engage in conversation and provide emotional support to clients, helping to reduce stress and anxiety.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and delivery.

Requirements:

  • GCSE or equivalent qualifications in a relevant subject (e.g., health and social care).
  • Previous experience in a care setting, preferably with adults or older adults.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • A valid driving license and access to a vehicle for work-related purposes.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Competitive salary: £18,500 - £21,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
  • Guaranteed hours available, subject to candidate availability.
  • Enhanced bank holiday rate of £19 (£5 Christmas & New Year).
  • Holiday pay and pension scheme.
  • Free DBS/PVG check, company mobile phone, and uniform provided.
  • Paid mileage between visits.
