**About the Role**

The East Midlands Education Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced School Estates Business Development Manager to join their central team. This role will involve managing the day-to-day running and line management of the Estates Team, working closely with individual school leaders and relevant external bodies.

As part of the Trust's estates strategy, this position will support our schools in all areas of facilities management, project management, health and safety compliance, and environmental performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering key projects, developing policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Manage the Estates Team, providing guidance and support to ensure effective delivery of services.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Deliver key projects, working closely with stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Maintain relationships with external partners and suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring value for money.

**Requirements**

  • Proven experience in facilities management, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands.
