Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Assistant to join our team at Breedon Group plc. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of payment runs and supplier set ups across seventeen business units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process payment runs and supplier set ups in a timely and accurate manner
  • Assist in the upkeep and maintenance of master data records
  • Resolve payment queries to a satisfactory conclusion
  • Assist with organizing incoming mail via email
  • Support the Accounts Payable Management Team
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Communicate effectively with senior management and directors
  • Assist the team with day-to-day tasks
  • Assist the Head of Accounts Payable with implementing change
  • Assist the team in meeting KPIs and SLAs
Requirements
  • High level of written and numerical literacy
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to plan, organize, and manage time
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and challenging environment
  • Experience of working within an AP team and understanding the AP end-to-end process
  • Intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
