Job Title: Head of Commercial Operations

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and commercially driven Head of Commercial Operations to lead our Vegetation Management and Utilities teams. As a key member of our Leadership Team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, operational excellence, and delivering high standards of service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to drive growth and profitability in the Vegetation Management and Utilities sectors.
  • Lead a high-performing team of commercial professionals, providing guidance, support, and direction to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Contract Director, supply chain, and customers to deliver high standards of service and improve performance.
  • Monitor and manage contract performance against KPIs, ensuring financial and operational targets are met.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and LDPs, ensuring compliance and effective collaboration.
  • Manage internal and client budgets, and proactively address contractual risks.
  • Continuously refine processes to enhance contract performance and profitability.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in commercial management, with a strong track record in driving growth and profitability in the utilities sector.
  • Extensive experience in contract management, with a deep understanding of NEC4 contracts and framework contracts.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and supply chain partners.
  • Ability to identify and address operational and process gaps, with a focus on continuous improvement.
