Key Responsibilities- Clinical Leadership

- Coordinate the care of critically ill patients, ensuring effective management of their patient group.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Team Development
- Support the development of Critical Care staff, providing training and education to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
- Quality Improvement
- Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements- Essential
- Current NMC Registration
- First level degree
- Post-registration Critical Care Qualification
- Evidence of current CPD
- 3 years Professional clinical experience in Critical Care speciality at Band 6 or above in Critical Care.
- A knowledgeable clinician with the ability to apply evidence-based practice
- A sound knowledge of professional policies and procedures
- A knowledgeable clinician with the ability to ensure clinical governance is embedded into practice
- A commitment to clinical supervision and staff development
- Knowledge of research/audit processes and application
- Proven ability to deal with difficult/sensitive situations
- Motivated and able to motivate others
- Desirable
- Extensive Critical Care nursing experience
- Experience in HR and Management Related Issues
- Understanding of budget management
- A good understanding of current issues relating to the NHS.
- Experience in Policy/Service Development
- Able to work at a high standard as stipulated in the General provision of Intensive Care document.
