About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Reliability Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform proactive and preventative maintenance tasks on a wide range of equipment and facilities
  • Carry out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in a live distribution environment

  • Uphold all health and safety policies and practices to ensure a safe working environment
  • Support the development and progression of on-site apprentices and junior engineers
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects and the implementation of best practices across multiple sites
A Day in the Life

As a Reliability Maintenance Engineer, you will be based on-site, allowing you to respond quickly to any equipment issues that may arise. Your day will be filled with a range of planned preventative maintenance tasks, as well as responding to breakdowns and implementing solutions to minimize downtime.

You will work closely with senior colleagues to undertake day-to-day maintenance tasks, such as painting and plumbing, and will liaise with external contractors as needed. You will also work on a range of shifts to ensure our sites are supported around the clock, allowing Amazon to deliver at the speed we're known for.

About the Team

Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering team is a technically-minded group of excellent team players, guided by experienced leaders. We work together to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment across our global network of fulfillment centers.

We handle a wide range of tasks, from installing automated packaging systems to overseeing the general maintenance of a site and repairing key distribution equipment. We are a dynamic team that is always looking for ways to improve and innovate, and we offer plenty of opportunities for progression and professional development.

Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 (or international equivalent) in an engineering discipline or another practical engineering qualification
  • Relevant experience as a qualified engineer, preferably in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance
  • Advanced proficiency in the local language verbally and in writing
  • Experience in condition-based monitoring, fault-finding, and maintaining conveyor or automation systems (desirable)
