Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Production Operator to join our team at our condiments manufacturing facility in Peterborough, UK. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating processing and packing equipment, ensuring quality and safety parameters are met, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain processing and packing equipment, adhering to standard operating procedures and quality control measures.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, identifying and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Participate in equipment start-up and shutdown procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient production process.
  • Monitor and adjust production processes to optimize quality and productivity, collaborating with colleagues to resolve any issues.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate production records, including batch records, quality records, and inventory reports.
  • Develop a deep understanding of equipment functionality and performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to troubleshoot equipment issues, utilizing problem-solving tools to determine root causes and implement solutions.
  • Ensure full compliance with Company Quality, Food Safety, Health & Safety, and Environmental requirements.
Candidate Profile
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production role, preferably in the food and drinks industry.
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills, with the ability to understand and follow standard operating procedures.
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address equipment issues.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production goals.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
