We are seeking a highly skilled Adult Audiologist to join our team at Waldo County General Hospital.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide clinical audiology services, including audiometric evaluation of hearing disorders, assessment of balance disorders, and aural rehabilitation, including dispensing of hearing aids and other assistive listening devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive audiometric evaluations to diagnose and treat hearing and balance disorders.
  • Develop and implement aural rehabilitation plans to improve communication and quality of life for patients.
  • Dispense and fit hearing aids and other assistive listening devices to patients.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in audiology and hearing healthcare.

Requirements:

  • Valid State of Maine License in Audiology.
  • Clinical experience working with clients of all ages, including hearing aid dispensing and evaluation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Computer literacy, including the internet and word processing.
