Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our team at OBM People. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials within our warehouse facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately inspect and verify the receipt of materials against client documentation and vendor paperwork.
  • Offload and load materials in a safe and timely manner, adhering to company and client standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with client contacts to facilitate the smooth operation of PO receipts and material control.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, including the use of client SAP systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, including the handling and storage of dangerous goods.
  • Contribute to maintaining high standards of housekeeping within the warehouse area.
  • Ensure adherence to legislative standards, including Oil and Gas Best Practice, HMRC, IMDG, and COSHH.
  • Operate forklifts and lifting equipment in accordance with company procedures and legislative requirements.

Requirements:

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Knowledge of SAP systems and experience with inventory control.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual handling tasks.
