Educational Support Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Special Education Teaching Assistant to join our team at CER Education Recruitment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of students with special educational needs in a primary and secondary SEN school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the classroom teacher in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students during lessons and activities.
• Support students with personal care tasks, including toileting, feeding, and mobility, as needed.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
• Assist in the implementation of behavioral interventions and strategies to support positive behavior management.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to support student development and progress.
• Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment, ensuring the well-being and safety of all students.
Requirements:
Previous experience working with individuals with special educational needs is preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students with diverse learning needs are also required. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently is necessary. Willingness to undergo relevant training and professional development as required.
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
