Machinist Specialist

TEXO Recruitment is seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join our client's team based in Fife. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in CNC turning and setting, with proven expertise in producing small, precision parts with tight tolerances.

We are offering a salary range of £35,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience. This is a temporary to permanent position following a 3-month probation period.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, programme, and operate CNC turning machines to produce precision components according to specifications
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machining requirements and plan operations
• Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and tooling for each machining job
• Monitor machine operations to ensure optimal performance, making necessary adjustments during the process
• Inspect finished components using precision measuring tools to ensure quality and accuracy
• Perform routine maintenance on CNC machinery to ensure continuous, smooth operations

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in CNC turning and setting
• Proven experience as a CNC Turner, Setter, and Programmer
• Expertise with CNC Turning Centres, particularly NLX 2500-700 and NLX 2000-500
• Ability to programme and set up machines, with conversational programming knowledge
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately
