About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team at Margery Girling House in Felixstowe. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing essential care to individuals in need, promoting their independence, dignity, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to customers, including assistance with daily living activities, medication administration, and mobility.
  • Support customers with temporary or terminal illnesses, providing emotional and practical care.
  • Assist with eating and drinking, light domestic duties, and social, physical activities, and mental stimulation.
About You

We are looking for a warm, friendly, and caring individual with a natural ability to connect with others. You will be a great listener, with a supportive attitude and a focus on the individual, not the routine.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the £750 joining bonus, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Have not been working in the care industry for the previous 2 years OR have come straight from education.
  • Be employed for a minimum of 8 hours per week.
  • The scheme must be a CQC registered provider in Suffolk.
  • Work for at least 12 weeks with Orwell and pass this starting period to qualify for the payment.
Person Specification
  • Care Certificate, desirable.
  • QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent, desirable.
  • Full driving licence, desirable.
