About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety, Health and Environment Advisor to join our team at Vistry Group PLC. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe planning, delivery, and review of complex projects across the construction and maintenance industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of Vistry Group's Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Policies, Standards, and legislation across all business units.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor compliance with SHE standards and provide guidance and support to site teams as needed.
  • Develop and maintain a positive SHE culture within the organization by promoting best practices and providing training and awareness programs.
  • Collaborate with business units to identify and mitigate risks associated with SHE, and develop strategies to improve performance.
  • Provide specialist support to project teams in the review of high-risk contractors' method statements and monitor the implementation of the same on site.
  • Assist in the performance management of subcontractors and ensure that they are meeting Vistry Group's SHE standards.
  • Communicate effectively with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) regarding the Health and Safety Policy and all relevant inspections, accidents, and incidents.
Requirements
  • NEBOSH Construction or equivalent diploma.
  • Experience in the construction industry, preferably in a Safety Advisor role within Residential Construction or Tier 1 Contracting.
  • Member of a Professional Body, progressing to Chartered status.
  • Experience in housebuilding is desirable.
