Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President, Client Implementations Project Manager to join our Middle Office Client Onboarding Team in London, UK. This role is part of our hybrid work structure, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and implement complex global operating models in a multi-phased manner, providing project management and business analysis expertise.
  • Provide analytical support and problem-solving skills to achieve project objectives and timelines.
  • Gather and analyze information to develop recommendations for addressing client and business objectives.
  • Identify and manage goals, risks, issues, and resources, ensuring quality assurance processes are applied throughout each project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate project meetings and workshops with external clients and internal stakeholders as needed.
  • Produce informational and decision-seeking reports, analyses, and presentations for relevant parties.
  • Monitor project progress, risks, and issues through weekly reports, CAIR logs, and project plans.
  • Escalate significant project delivery issues to relevant parties and assist junior roles with issue resolution.
  • Manage project post-implementation reviews.
  • Communicate effectively and frequently with project initiators, technology, operations, and clients, ensuring regular communication among these groups.
  • Deliver complex internal and external projects or parts of larger projects.
  • Provide clear direction and leadership to staff managed during a project, including setting individual objectives and reviewing outcomes.
  • Have a sound understanding of BNY products, services, and clients.
  • Lead allocated projects and programs to ensure successful delivery and implementation within deadlines.
  • Organize resources for project workshops and support with relevant managers, aligning with business and project needs.
  • Ensure quality controls are implemented in project plans and change control processes are applied.
  • Ensure project deliverables achieve the benefits defined in the business case.
  • Ensure all project commitments are met.
  • Monitor and report on project progress.
  • Evaluate potential risks and issues, determining appropriate actions to mitigate them.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with service delivery teams across BNY, ensuring the operating model is clearly defined and meets client needs.
  • Facilitate internal discussions around changes to the operating model, following up with internal teams to ensure required sign-offs are received and escalating appropriately.
Requirements
  • Significant governance, project management, and experience in asset servicing functions is preferred.
  • Sound knowledge of project management and business analysis, with the ability to develop others in this area.
  • Prince II Practitioner or relevant job experience/alternative qualification.
  • Competent in all aspects of Microsoft Office and MS Project.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Middle Office functional and product knowledge preferred: industry OMS flows, trade capture processes, IBOR accounting, and support functions (reconciliations, corporate actions, reference data), performance, and data management.
  • Consistent ability to deliver within deadlines, even under challenging circumstances, while managing client expectations.
  • Team player with demonstrable skills in developing effective relationships with internal teams and clients.
  • Adapt and act quickly to drive change by advocating innovative solutions and new ways of thinking.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and under pressure while adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Problem solver with sound prioritization and time management skills.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and effective listening skills.
  • Ability to use Outlook, Word, Excel for project management purposes.
