Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Clinical Services Director to join our team at Nuffield Health. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and developing nursing practice, ensuring the delivery of safe and effective care, and driving the standards of care across our hospital.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Development
    • Provide strategic direction and leadership to nursing teams to achieve high-quality patient care and outcomes.
    • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and evidence-based practice.
  • Clinical Governance
    • Ensure that clinical governance processes are in place to promote safe and effective care, including risk management and quality improvement initiatives.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve clinical standards, care, and service across wards, theatres, outpatients, pharmacy, radiology, imaging, cardiology, and pathology.
  • Operational Management
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of nursing services, including staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation.
    • Develop and implement operational plans to achieve business objectives and improve patient outcomes.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, including medical staff, management, and other departments.
    • Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and colleagues to ensure that their needs are met and that they receive high-quality care.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
