Job Title: Accounts Assistant/Management Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accounts Assistant/Management Accountant to join our team at the Transformation Unit.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide a proactive management accounting service to the Trust's budget managers.
  • Work closely with Management Accountants to support the work of the Finance team.
  • Help produce divisional monthly accounts and assist in analysing financial information.
  • Produce financial reports and answer budget manager's queries.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Proactive and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • GCSEs or equivalent with high standard of numeracy and literacy.
  • Previous experience of working in a financial environment.
  • Experience of working with Excel.
  • Interpreting and analysing large volumes of data.
  • Interpreting and analysing financial information.
  • Working to deadlines.
  • Experience of basic management accounting techniques such as using accruals and prepayments.
  • Experience of computerised financial systems.
  • VAT.
