About This Role: As an Avionics Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the successful qualification of design changes and the release of major platform capabilities to our customers. Your work within the AJT-SE team will have a direct impact on the success of our program.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and review Qualification Programme Plans (QPP) to ensure seamless execution.
  2. Issue Test Requirement Documentation (TRD) to define system testing requirements, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
  3. Collaborate with the Safety team to determine Safety Critical Function Chains (SCFC), prioritizing safety and reliability.
  4. Issue Requests for Test (RFT) and Requests for Flight Data (RFFD) to facilitate smooth testing and data collection.
  5. Liaise with SI testing teams, Avionics Sub-System teams, and Flight Test/Ops teams to understand requirements and address any arising issues, fostering a culture of collaboration.
  6. Conduct and coordinate reviews with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  7. Provide valuable feedback to the wider team, driving continuous improvement.
  8. Ensure full traceability between initial requirements, contract requirements, test requirements, and the evidence set used to satisfy them, maintaining the highest standards of quality and integrity.

Requirements:

  1. A degree in a STEM subject or equivalent relevant experience, demonstrating a strong foundation in engineering principles.
  2. Proven Systems Engineering background from either Aerospace or Defense sectors, showcasing expertise and knowledge.
  3. Familiarity with the Typhoon platform, highlighting your ability to adapt and thrive in complex environments.
  4. Experience in working with equipment ICDs and definition of Logical signal level information, demonstrating your technical prowess.
  5. Experience in requirements management, showcasing your ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  6. Due to the nature of the project, candidates must be sole British nationals, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
