Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Academic Professional to join our team at East Ayrshire Council. As a key member of our educational staff, you will be responsible for developing and delivering an innovative and creative curriculum that promotes the key objectives outlined in the Education Plan and the Community Plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Challenge, support, and inspire all learners to achieve the best possible outcomes.
  • Develop and deliver an innovative and creative curriculum that meets the needs of our students.
  • Work closely with colleagues to promote the key objectives outlined in the Education Plan and the Community Plan.
  • Seek RC Church approval prior to commencement of employment.
  • Undergo pre-employment checks, including a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme membership check.

Requirements

This post requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality education and a passion for developing innovative curricula. You will need to be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Arrangements

This is a permanent full-time post based at St Joseph's Academy, Kilmarnock. We will consider requests for part-time hours and/or a fixed-term contract. The full-time hours are 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, at the direction of the line manager. The full-time salary is between £40,000 and £50,000 per annum.
