A leading professional services firm in East Sussex is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join their team.

As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and knowledge of relevant accounting software are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Prepare financial reports and statements
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors
  • Prepare tax returns and ensure timely payment

Requirements:

  • Qualified or part-qualified in accounting (e.g. ACA, ACCA)
  • Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting software
