Job Description

Orion Group is seeking a highly skilled Project Planner to join our team. As a Project Planner, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Lead Planning Engineer in managing the Company's Project portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning: Create and maintain various levels of project plans in accordance with company planning procedure.
  • Schedule Management: Review plans and schedule data and advise the Project Manager(s) of any potential delays and risks to the baseline schedule and budget.
  • Reporting: Production and issue of a variety of weekly and monthly planning reports such as Gantt Charts, S-Curves, Resource Histograms, and Project Dashboards.
  • Information Provision: Provide accurate planning information to the Project manager(s) and Lead Engineer(s) to allow for work prioritization, scheduling, reporting, and resourcing.
  • Project Support: Support the Project Engineer(s)/Manager(s) in the successful delivery of all work within assigned projects.
  • Interface Management: Interfacing with the Contractor and Company asset planning engineers to ensure Project alignment.
  • Meeting Coordination: Chair internal planning and departmental priorities meeting, also attendance of contractor meetings when required.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Relevant experience in a similar role and Oil & Gas background.
  • IT Skills: Experience with using Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel.
  • Prioritization: Prioritization of workload in line with project demands.
  • Communication: Good communicator.
  • Leadership: Confident in taking part/chairing meetings.
  • Initiative: Can work on own initiative with a proactive approach.
  • Organizational Skills: Good Organizational skills with attention to detail.
