SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with Autism in our vibrant mainstream school in East Lancashire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with Autism.
  • Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Adapt teaching materials to suit the individual needs of each child.
  • Foster positive relationships and encourage students' social and emotional development.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to the SENCO and teaching staff.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with Autism or other Special Educational Needs.
  • A caring and patient attitude, with a passion for helping children succeed.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A relevant qualification in education or SEN (desirable but not essential).
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of a dynamic mainstream school environment.
